Hydrangea paniculata DIAMANT ROUGE ® 'Rendia'
The reddest of our diamonds.
A real innovation! This new variety by Jean RENAULT is spectacular for its abundant and long lasting flowers, the reddest of Hydrangea paniculata!
From early July, this shrub is covered in large flowerheads (up to 30 - 40 cm). Its strong stems bear abundant sterile flowers with large sepals. The lush panicle blooms first of all white then the "diamond" turns pink, becoming deeper in colour then quickly, from August onwards, bursts into raspberry red, then turns wine red for a few weeks, until the end of October.
Flowers colour can vary with exposure, climate and soil type.
A good grower, it has a bushy, evenly balanced shape of average height.
Foliage is naturally spotted and leaves turn orange in autumn.
The different varieties of the Hydrangea paniculata range, supplied by SAPHO, go well in a shrub border together with perennials or in a pot.
