Hydrangea macrophylla SO LONG ® Ebony 'MONMAR'
SO LONG®: a range of re-flowering hydrangeas
Ebony: a cultivation with black stems
Ebony 'MONMAR' presents the characteristics of the SO LONG® range grouping the hydrangeas capable of flowering on current year's growth.
The ball-shaped inflorescences of 15 cm diameter are supported by solid, allmost black stems. The corymbs are composed of numerous sterile flowers of approximately 3 cm, violet pink in alkaline soil or blue in acid conditions, flowering for three weeks. When wilting the flower heads turn green, spattered with creamy white and can also be picked to go in a dried flower arrangement.
This variety is of vigorous growth.
Associated in particular to SO LONG® Rosy, Ebony embellishes beds or containers all summer long.
